After a year and half of Texas weather the inflatable donut around the pool has dry rotted and cracked. I was hoping it would last a little longer. Oh and the pump is kinda weak and you'll spend a small fortune on filters.

Surprisingly came undamaged during shipping. Easy to put up and take down. Did get a bigger and better filter… recommend by other reviewers.

Bought this on sale toward the end of the summer, it's really a great value if you do it that way. The set up is very easy, the instructions are almost unnecessary because there's so little to "figure out". The most difficult part is prepping the area where the pool will sit, the vinyl isn't very thick, it holds an extremely heavy water load, and the threat of even a small sharp rock or twig is a very real concern. If your yard space has any slope to it this pool won't be a good choice for you. But if you have a large flat rock-free outdoor space this pool is an amazing addition to your summer time at-home fun. It's big & deep enough you can actually play in it, float around, swim a few strokes, or bring in the pool toys. You can enjoy it with multiple adult-sized people without feeling like you're cramped or "wading", and it's 100 times cheaper than an in-ground pool of the same capacity. Plus, it's far more child-safe being above ground and the walls are too tall for little ones to fall into. Finally, we love that it's portable/reusable so we can take it with us if we move, and look forward to enjoying it for many summers to come. Tips for first-time pool owners: 1) The wrinkles really won't settle themselves out, so don't skip the step about smoothing them. 2) Ensure you're positioned correctly and set up without rocks, twigs, or leaks BEFORE you commit the time (and water) to filling it full. It will take several hours, maybe even a day, and weighs a literal ton so can't be moved unless empty. 3) Intex has a reasonable warranty claim process but the pools are made of thin vinyl and fabricated in China. Pick up a vinyl patch kit and be prepared to patch holes caused by normal use, the included patch kit doesn't come with glue.

We get one of these every few years as they are inexpensive. The ring only lasts 3-4 years because it dries out & cracks so that's a major flaw. Otherwise it's easy to put up & take down each season.

We have had the 18×48 pool for 5 years now. The only thing we have had to replace is the pool pump. We live in south GA and the weather is hot and stifling. We put our pool up in June and take it down in August every year and store it in our shed. In five years we have had no leaks and the ring stays inflated the entire time we have it up. My wife was skeptical when we first bought the pool but has loved it ever since. The ground is not completely level where we have to put the pool but it works. I have found out if you put the pump on the high side it works fantastic. We shock the pool every week and check the levels with test strips to keep the chemical balance just right. For the price and not having to level the ground perfectly this was the best investment we have made. Our kids have a blast and for a family of 5 we still have plenty of room to play and relax.
