Kind of worried

It looks like everything was there, but the box was open directions have stains on it. so I'm hoping it has no issues once I could get it all set up and use. Can't really tell how it works waiting until the winter is over.

k
keinen

Very minimal info and requires some fiddling around.

Setup is simple probably to much so. First thing is boundary direction is reversed other mowers so make sure u plan for that. I didn't know that and it tried to stay outside of wire not inside. After figuring this out The mower mows grass well but spends a lot of time just following boundary wire. It ask to not edge but it has ok or cancel but still does it anyway. The app is quirky, very minimal and slow to connect. It first run it draws a simple map of boundary but doesn't show the mower location, where it has mowed and how much left etc. The software and mower ai are very version 1 and need to be updated with a more informative operation and way more options. There is no way to just mow a spot or section of the yard. Also need to speed up the connection process. Very simplistic operation and when left alone it makes no sense in how it goes about it but it finally covers the yard. Front wheels rattle over bumps otherwise would be almost silent operation. Battery life is good.12-23Spends all of its time trying to get itself into a jam along the boundary line and not much time actually mowing. The software needs a big update to make it perform the job which is mowing and not just running around like it's lost. I think the GPS is a bad way to navigate as it seems to always be trying to find a signal etc. makes little bitty short random burst of movement. The hardware seems ok besides the front wheels as noted. It also goes outside the boundary wire location and spins and tears it up. Ive lost 2 bushes because of this. If they updated the software to fix these issues it might be quite good. But for now mines going back.

Mostly great with some room for improvement

It does what you might expect it mowed the lawn. There are some really good things and some areas where it could improve (software updates I would think)It is very good at moving around and overcoming obstacles. It cuts even high grass very well. One improvement would be to adjust the speed according to the power draw of the knife motor. If the grass is tall and it is hard to cut I think it would save some “I am blocked” situations if it just slowed down and let the knives do their job. Apples on the ground are handled OK (there was not so many right now). Better than my previous robot mower.. I like the combination of boundary wire and GPS. I'm using the old boundary wire from a McCulloch (Husqvarna) but this one does not use the “find your way home” wire and it sometimes feels like it confuses the mower. Another thing that complicated my installation is that the McCulloch has the wires going left and right and exits the charger perpendicular to the boundary wire. This one has the wires front and back and that would not have been a problem if I could choose if it should go CW or CCW but you can not. So now it has chosen the way with the most obstacles and that needs to be sorted. First I thought that you could just change the wires around front <-> back but that only made the mower think that the whole world except my lawn was the inside of the bounds. And my lawn was outside and it would not start at all. The obstacles would not have been such a big problem if the mower listen a little more on the real world and a little less on the GPS. I get that it knows that it has not mowed the patch under the obstacles but if you bump into something for the X:ed time on the same coordinate maybe just accept that there is an obstacle there and try another route or give up and go somewhere else. It is VERY persistent. It would also be great if it could borrow some features from the robot vaccums. Drawing virtual no go zones. Spot mowing by drawing a rectangle/polygon on a map. Showing the internal map at all would be nice to be able to understand some of the decisions. Maybe correct it by hand?If you also could integrate it with Home Assistant (MQTT?!) it would be great.Over all I really like it and it does a good job. I just have to sort out my wire reuse issues if they are not addressed in the next firmware :-)
