Portable Gas Powered Hydraulic Post Pounder Hole Driver, 1.2HP (98721650)

I’ve built a lot of fence over the years so I was skeptical, but after using it today I’ll tell you this is the best purchase I’m made in years. In two hours I drove 44 7 foot t-posts in heavy clay and rock. There was a half dozen posts where I didn’t think it would go through, but I kept pounding and they went through. I'm 64 years old and don't have the stamina I once did, so I’d have spent all week with a manual post driver. The ergonomics could be a little better but it starts easy and at half throttle it drives the posts with no problem. It might sit in barn unused for the next 10 years and I’ll still be happy with the purchase.

This is an ok tool that requires diy accessorization. I for instance have cut a digging bar in half and use the tamper and spade that way. It works on my small farm and home.

So I live in Central texas, we have very hard ground. I haven't really put the demolition hammer to the test but I have drove some t posts. And for that it works nicely. A few notes, if you're handy this doesn't apply but the instructions are useless. Still it only took me maybe 10 minutes to figure it out. Ergonomics it's not the best, the demolition bits don't seem to be replaceable, the heads are a bit of a pain to switch, and the par that snaps onto the shaft for the pile driver keeps falling off.

Only problem we have had is the vibration

I was able to use this for pounding t posts into the ground. It lasted only for about 1 month, then the seal on the gas tank deteriorated. Now, I'm searching for a replacement part which is not listed in the parts list of the instruction manual which was provided with the product. The performance of the device is below expected and operates inconsistently vibrating when not yet placed upon the tpost and the throttle not yet depressed. I would not purchase this product again.RESOLVED:I was pretty disappointed when the seal deformed, effectively making this tool useless. However, the company worked with me for a good length of time to send me the right replacement part and at my request they sent me 10 replacements, and due to international shipping delays, and few delays, they sent me these replacements at their cost.Overall, the company was VERY willing to work with me to resolve issues with this item.
