We were one of the unlucky purchasers where after we installed the powered Awning, the limits were messed up from the factory. The Awning would retract using the motor and would not stop. Instead it stopped only from current limiting itself. It made a horrible noise and chipped some paint off the hood. I called Advaning and they sent me the instructions for adjusting the travel limits. I was able to adjust it to my liking but now it would wind unevenly so when retracted, the right-side would be fully retracted and the left-side sticking out about 1 inch. I really wanted to return the whole thing but no way to repackage it. So I called them again and they sent me some plastic round shims to install on one end of the spool. I did so and it's a lot better. We have about 1/2" difference from the left and right end. Although a little disappointed with the chipped paint, we are very pleased with Advaning's Customer Service. The weather changed after we got it installed so won't be using it until next spring. We would highly recommend this Awning and Company because they are really do stand behind what they sell. I bet if I complained about the paint-chips, they would likely send some touch-up paint.

Now I can rest easy knowing by pushing of a button we have beautiful shade and a cool breeze.

This awning was a little more than I wanted to spend, however it was worth the quality!The instructions and ease of hanging out was great. It's a very solid build. We went cheap a few years ago and it did not last long. Definitely recommend this over the competitor's for price and quality.

Take time to install the brackets so they are aligned and highly recommend motorized unit

The awning was installed according to the instructions and works smoothly. I purchased the luxury motorized version. When installed correctly, this awning can take some wind. Good design and would recommend. The price was reasonable compared to better known brand.

Recently cut down a tree and providing shade became a necessity for my 90 yr old parents back yard. While I had some unique structural issues due to a bay window in location where I needed to install, the instructions and simplicity of placing anchorages in 4 secure locations made this a relatively straight forward install. I note that I am above average handyman to address the unique situation I had, but a straight wall would have made this an easy install for anyone for a 14ft wide awning, 4 anchorages into a stud is all that is needed, pu unit (at least two people) awning and hang on anchored support, bolt in place, use awning. I have a motorized unit with remote and my parents push a button for shade. Note that the motor is generally on the left side and you need 110v outlet. I had to install a new outlet in the proper location as I did not want to have an additional lead to get power.While all projects take a bit longer than you plan, especially if you do not have a standard install it took two about 3+ hours after the unit was delivered to open, install anchorages and hang teh awning. I add that while scheduled for a 9-noon delivery, changed to noon til 3 delivery the day prior. It is a great color, quality and easy to install unit. Compared weight to similar sizes with lower price and feel the quality is worth the added cost.LAST, I did contact a national awning company and they estimated $6-8K for unit and install. I am very pleased with this unit

We love this awning. Was definitely worth getting motorized version for easy in and out. We had someone install for us who found the video very helpful and easy to get it correctly installed. Highly recommend.
