Plenty of power, but the trigger sticks

First off, this auger is quite powerful and has made short work of the handful of postholes I had to dig through clay and rock. So, that's impressive. My one gripe (and it's a pretty big one) is that the power switch often sticks in the "on" position and is VERY hard to unstick. I've lost one expensive extension cord to this issue, so far. Maybe I'll disassemble the handle to see if I can figure out what the problem might be, but I'm curious if any one else has experienced this. If the trigger worked correctly, this would be a 5 star review, for sure.

Even works in dirt with rocks

Very nice tool. One flaw, the on off button gets stuck on which can be dangerous if you are not expecting it. After using it for a couple days it does stop when the button/trigger is released most of time.

Very good power auger.

I've used this power auger with an 8 inch diameter bit for lost holes. Works great and has a lot of torque. You really have to hold on if it hits a rock or tree root. Very good value.

It takes two

If you're drilling into the ground and you're not a pro, it takes two, no matter how many handles are on this thing. At least in the red clay of Georgia.

Well worth it...

It's solid, well built. Does a great job drilling down. I used it in Arizona where the soil was somewhat clay like and it worked fine. I hit a little concrete and couldn't go through in one spot so had to dig and break it up. Other than that it worked like a charm. One tip:Since it torques to the left, if you move your left leg forward slightly and bend it, you can hold the handle against your left thigh, so if the drill does catch, it'll be buffered and your leg will absorb most of the torque.I was a little concerned about the torque when I first used it. But, actually found it to be mild - easy to handle.
