I bought this mainly to keep my truck out of the direct sun since I don't have a garage. The difference in how hot my truck gets has been huge. Interior temp on a hot day is way more manageable now. The roof doesn't look warped or stressed from the heat either which I was a little worried about. Good buy for hot climates.

Storing my boat outside uncovered was costing me money every season in cleaning and small repairs from sun and weather damage. Really solid structure and we love it.

I'm going to be real with you. The box says simplified assembly and I get what they mean but it's still a big project. I had three people helping me and it still took the whole day. No major problems just a lot of steps and pieces. The end result is sturdy and I'm happy with it but just clear your schedule if you plan on doing this in one day. Not a quick afternoon project.

I've had two other carports before this one and both had fabric or poly roofs that started cracking within the first year. The galvanized steel roof on this one is a completely different experience. It feels permanent and I'm not worried about replacing it after one season. The frame also feels heavier than I expected which is a good sign. Knocked off one star only because one of the packages arrived a little banged up.
